(my mandatory sustenance these past few weeks — from Bayou Bakery)
Disclaimer: I was surprisingly good at thinking ahead about Christmas shopping and organizing my holiday plans in advance. The aftermath, however, has been less of a pretty sight. Though I’ve been gradually wading through a number of organizational tasks and resolutions and the like that I’ve set for myself, I’ve felt more like a chicken with its head cut off this past week or two than I did at all in December.
Case in point: I sat down to my computer last night ready to upload outfit photos from the past few days for posting, only to find that my camera had run out of battery and, just to rub it in, my uploader cord had decided to stay at work rather than following me home where it belongs for effective photo uploading. This, in addition to numerous other errands and endeavors thwarted over the past few days (don’t even get me started, Post Office at L & 14th), has me resigning myself to the inevitable —
C’est la vie… and there’s nothing you or I can do about it.
To hold you over until I get my head screwed on again, the preoccupations of my recent days by way of Instagram:
(who could feel overwhelmed when looking at this melt-your-heart face)
(my obsession with avocado on everything continues to grow)
(the pants that would’ve been in today’s post.. with the top (similar) that’s too sparkly and fantastic for work, but was the perfect fit for drinks at Fuego saturday night)
(my average focus on knitting lasts about three weeks a year, but if you’re lucky this time it’ll stick — stay tuned for a pending Etsy shop!)
(recent cookbook perusing has me thrilled about some new recipe endeavors)
